Hello all!

So happy to announce that by following the steps below I can confirm we can successfully connect to any retail server and play using L2tower

However, I cannot guarantee this will work if you DO NOT READ THIS POST and DO NOT HAVE AN UNMODIFIED INSTALLATION of retail.

You must have:
Lineage2 Update: 07/31/2013 - FRESH PATCH, unmodified.
L2Tower Version: 1.4.1.102
Premium L2Tower License

Download the file linked here: (Proper files!)
dsetup.dll

These are the steps below:

Step 1:
Go to: \NCsoft\Lineage II\
Create a backup copy of "System" folder within your own Lineage 2 folder
Example:

1. Right-click on System folder, select Copy
2. Right-click in the root folder and hit paste
3. Windows will create a new copy of the same folder with the name "System_2"
   

Step 2:

1. Rename your second copy of your system folder to: "system_tow"
   

This means now you'll have two system folders -

1. 1 called "system"
2. 2 called "system_tow"
   

Step 3:

1. Enter System_tow folder
2. Replace dsetup.dll with the patched version listed in this post
3. Within the same folder, Delete GameGuard.des file
4. Then, Go inside GameGuard folder (System_tow/gameguard/ - delete all files but leave the folder intact (DO NOT DELETE THE FOLDER)
   

Step 4:

1. Go to your L2Tower Installation folder
2. Right-click on L2Tower.exe and select "Run As Administrator"
3. Make sure you have a valid Premium License
   

Step 5: (REALLY IMPORTANT)

1. In the "Base" tab, Hit the Select Button, and point to:
   \NCsoft\Lineage II\System_tow\l2.bin
2. Tick "Close L2Tower process after injection"
3. Go to the "Premium" tab, select Choose Antibot - select Universal
4. Tick all the options below that, (Prevent..., Prevent..., Randomize)
   

Step 6:
Hit Run & Inject 1x (or 2x,3x)

NOTES:

You may have to migrate your old L2Tower configuration for your characters to your new configuartion folder.

L2Tower\config

Move files inside from:
_NCsoft_Lineage_II_system_

to
_NCsoft_Lineage_II_system_tow_

Restart your game, and bam all your config files are now migrated!

Is L2tower still safe in that update ? or we have to w8 until next update ? @@"

I dont understand what the problem is... ive had tower working the same way it always does. replace dsetup + delete gameguard folder & files = done.

+1 same here - i use run and inject x w/o problem

you use inject mode with new updater ?

i delete game guard itens and game guard.des and replace dsetup...
now run and inject 1x >> resultad, error

dont know wheres your problem.. used same way -> update through launcher.. > dsetup replace > gameguard.des + folder deleted and run l2tower > inject&run 3x / 4x.. my pt still running since wednesday without crash/dc/ban

Well it works, but some windows doesn´t change name, while others do, and some times got some errors like "load:Veryfication Failed(No asswer from game).

Atm I can log in but with some issues..

I have a problem...In my system there is no Gameguard folder, just gameguard.des and without this file it doesn't work. evrytime I try i get PID:5928 with your dsetup, with mine it goes but when it's time to log it stucks and don't connect, i think it's because there is gameguard. I hope you can help me.

Edit: I go on and use method at character selection but it says unsupported game version. I'm on l2tales, i jsut want to know if it works on this server.
