I'm asking this becouse i see allot of servers that are protected by hGuard or LameGuard and we rly can't do shit with tower VIP member or not, most of us are playing on private server.

Right now we mainly focus on L2off servers, we out of time to support 999 private servers. We may back to them when we add all necessary changes what left to add. With L2off thinks are simple - you got last version of L2, with private servers you usually got some random mix of chronicles... with anti-bot protections what changes every few weeks. It's cat-mouse game, none-one can win. And there is reason why "private" servers using antibots, bots kills L2 game...

ClockMan, but maybe you can found out unique bypass for private servers which are alive 6-10 months?
Lameguard is everywhere and it not update every 2 days or week. At first time you crack it, it will be harder. Then - just simple change of already cracked files, that's all.

By the way, officials works good and the most features to make L2T work there already added, as I can see.

well then perhaps you should make a poll and see what the majority of the people would rather you support, Retail or Privates?

after all it is a business decision, go where the money goes and support them.

Personally i side with private servers, retail has lost all appeal to me, its terrible now.

Private servers make the farm so hard you'l rather donate to equal, or even have ++ echants for donators only. So they pay 100++$ and monthly fee to lameguard, etc. just to stop you bot and get there items whitout donating. Basicly donators pay for antibots and make private servers rich just because naive people fall in there trap.

There is Absolutly NO need for antibots on private servers if you have an active and dedicated GM.

The only reason there are antibots is to be forced to donate.

Want a great server? Make one do your job as an administrator also buy a 10k cisco firewall.

Imagine what would happen if you bypass lameguard. A random guy is already selling bypass for lame, months now...

Fox, I disagree with you. It's your IMO, but many ppl bot at private servers in order to sell adena/help their friends to get some "cookies" etc.

A lot of servers has NO active GMs, just some moderators.

it's there problem if the ADMIN's whit real modding rights don't play l2 or even differentiate/test a player for bot

They dont play, only kinda chat-moderators that can ban only for chat
