I just lost two parties on Chronos. one in orbis, one in sh2. They also banned my dwarf clan leader who was not on tower sitting in giran afk for the past 6 months...

Just lost two partys 10 minutes ago on Chronos server with instant ban(client closes without any message), one party in fairys the other in orbis.

I don't think there is any live GM bans taking place.

There has to be a detection based process they are using based on either invisible items, monsters or something happening to trigger an investigation into said accounts. From there I believe they look at if the account holders buy Ncoins and if they do, they then move to investigate wether or not the account holder sells adena for RMT.

If no ncoins are purchased > ban.
If RMT is found > ban.
If ncoins are purchased but also RMTing > ban.
If no ncoins purchased and no RMT found, move to looking at time logged in gaining xp, if greater then x amount > ban.
If ncoins are purchased quite regularly, it is possible they don't ban based on time spent botting i.e. 24/7 = ban, while people who only bot maybe 8 - 12hours every few days don't get banned.

There is no real way to know for sure how they are doing it, but there is one sure thing to consider and it is that Juji could have obtained some algorithm coding from Korea to assist in detecting these programs while he was over there.

The real question is, if they keep up with this constant ban hammer, which is having an adverse effect on people playing and causing more and more people to quit playing which in effect makes it less and less populated and harder for people to make and fill real groups of players, what are their future plans for the game, if any? Because at this rate, they will have to merge all the servers in to one.

Yeah i am starting to believe it has more to do with RMT then actual botting. NCSOFT / NCWEST want to make money...if you are botting and not helping them make money or you are making money from them...then GG you are gone eventually. I believe they have logs and logs and this is all just catch from the past months. They dont have to catch you live, they are just slowly going through the logs and tracing the adenas/drops. If you are seen with no NCcoin and sold the adena...ban. They only really care about $$$$. They dont want to ban people who are still making them money, that would be bad business. We will see i guess.
