because i m searching the whole internet and this forum and NOONE is actually refering to the l2 tower working or not!! first of all please update your F!!!!! pc's so you dont get errors of any kind ... if u dont know how...we DONT care,search google as we did and learn how!!
At the moment l2 tower IS NOT working on official servers... options of i found in google and tried so far!
1-download l2 tower
2-open it and update it
3-create a l2.exe file (old just renaming l2.bin)(tried to have l2.exe and bin tried having only exe and only bin.
4-delete gameguard.des from system file+gameguard folder (tried without and with deleted folder)
5-open l2tower create free licence
6-select file (l2.exe)(tried with bin too)
7-check options my gui and staff NOthing is checked except the autotouch something ..
8-tried v1-v2-v7beta of dsetup
9-NON OF THE ABOVE WORKS for the official servers of lineage 2! so an updated manual WOULD BE appreciated if not the same as always and an actuall update of people playing on official servers would be again greatly appreciated.
(if u play on whatever f**** server u randomly found on the net and having l2 tower not working on is not interesting at all to us!! if its something that people actually play yeah ok other wise dont make pointless threads for any 2-3 day lasting god forsaken server u think u have fun playing ..)
btw i mostly get the same error hook failed ... if its not a crash error on if i dont end up a the log in screen never being able to login!

hey vip member ....have u noticed that the guide i wrote is 10 times better that the link u game me ??? and its not working??? so if u wanna be a smartass better at least read next time ... the guide only says to uncheck the my gui that IS NOT cehcked! create licence and run game "oh damn why didnt i thought of that it i have to thank that good samaritan that came to help IN VAIN!"

where did you read about all that dsetup stuff, renaming bin to exe? all this is outdated.
guide by link that rORUMI posted is not perfect but it works for many people.
anyway, while you are just saying "TOWER IS NOT WORKING OMG OMG" nobody can help you.
if you want someone to help you, learn to ask it right, you should say more relevant info about the problem: error messages, screenshots, etc.
but instead of this you prefer blaming everyone, well ok.

actually 'the guide' is really simple:
1. check or redownload l2 client, DON'T modify any files.
2. run tower, click 'Inject into next active game windows'
3. run ncsoft launcher, enter email/password.
4. profit!

Is that really working? Cause until yesterday it did, but now i am trying to log in and it using this guide and it is not working for me. IT comes a Game Guard Error (the numbers variate).
Correcting me: Yes now it works, i updated the game again(with Repair button), closed and opened again, and now works perfectly.
it works for me.
additionally you can try to disable DEP (how? google it), that helps sometimes.

well OBVIOUSLY i tried without modifing anything ...and it didnt work...thats when i tried the outdated methods.(btw nowhere is mentioned that all these are outdated)and when i try the simple way i always get the error "injection failed" (or something like that) or if i dont get the error i m getting disconnected the moment i load my char in game...so instead of leaving all these outdated guide in this forum create a thread where you say "NO NEED FOR OUTDATED CHANGES" and let ppl comment on their problems there.
anyway these are the solution and ways i tried (used also old methods from l2tower options)and nothing worked untill yesterday at least didnt tried yet gonna do it in a bit!

just did the whole l2 update and tried with l2 tower with no changes at all errors left and right gonna disable dep see if thats the problem ... otherwise we do and have the same pcs i dont think i m doing somehting wrong here .... anyway...
btw i m trying to disable dep as u say and there are only 2 options
Turn on dep for windows essential programs and services only (thats the default) and second option run for all except those i check on list. trying to add l2 to list and it doesnt accept it dep MUST be running with l2 ... so with which magic way should i disable DEP??? lets see the geniouses on the forum what do they have to tell?! and if i try to inject before running l2 launcher or after i m in game i get 288 error couldnt inject process..
